The Sonoma Valley Fire District provides emergency medical transport service to the communities of Agua Caliente, Boyes Hot Springs, City of Sonoma, Diamond-A, El Verano, Fetters Hot Springs, Glen Ellen, Kenwood, Mayacamas, Temelec, Seven Flags, and the communities within the Schell Vista Fire Protection DIstrict. As a fire-based ambulance provider, SVFD delivers a seamless response, our firefighter-paramedics and EMTs are often the same crews arriving on scene, ensuring continuity of care from initial patient contact through transport to definitive medical care.

Our ambulances are staffed with state-certified paramedics and emergency medical technicians trained to deliver both Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) care. Crews respond to medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and other calls for aid, providing rapid assessment, stabilization, and transport to local hospitals and trauma centers.

Integrating ambulance transport within the Fire District allows for coordinated dispatch, shared training standards, and consistent quality of care across every stage of an emergency medical response. This model reduces response times and ensures that the same high standard of training and equipment used in fire suppression is applied to medical emergencies as well.
