KNOX FIRE DEPARTMENT ACCESS
Did you know that all fire engines within Sonoma County carry a special key that allows us to open driveway gates on both commercial and residential properties? This common key allows every Sonoma County Fire Department to have this access no matter where they are within the County. It also allows us to keep the gate open. Why is this imortant? This access allows fire engines to quickly enter and maintain access to supress fires and also prevents fireengines from getting trapped inside properties by a closed gate after we begin firefighting.
New or modified gates are required to install this KNOX key access switch or a KNOX padlock. Information on ordering can be found here - Knox Ordering / Mounting Information
REGISTER WITH SHERRIF / 911 DISPATCH CENTER
We also reccomend registering your gate code with the Sonoma County Sherrifs Office. This registration will allow 911 dispatchers to relay your gate code to Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS. - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
